週末﹐藝術家的世界(一) Weekend, World of Artists (1)

每天﹐在地球的另一邊﹐人們在幹些什麼?
尤其是節假日﹐怎樣過得有趣﹐讓自己身心悠閑舒展?
好奇心讓我跟隨當地人四處游蕩﹐試圖探測他們的世界。
本博客在"葛蘭湖島"一文介紹過這個藝術家世界。上週末特地帶上Canon G10走進這
裡﹐竟有一番很不錯的收穫。好幸運找到一個3小時免費車位﹐泊好車一抬頭就看到
這家藝術畫廊:

畫家 alice rich 正在吃午飯﹐明白我的來意後竟讓我在她畫廊內拍照。第一眼就
覺得她坐在工作臺前以顏料畫筆畫板等材料作背景的畫面很美﹐於是幫她拍下了下
面這張。
Everyday, what are people doing in the other side of the earth?
Especially on holidays, how do them get the fun from which they could totally
relax from mind to soul?
Curiosity drives me follow local people around to detect their inner lives.
Last weekend, I brought my Canon G10 to the Granville Island and returned
with a little harvest which is kind of entertaining myself.
I was lucky to find a 3 hr free parking space, right at the time I locked
my car, I spot this art gallery:

Artist Alice Rich was having lunch when I stepped in the lobby. After getting
my purpose of visiting her, she issued me the permission of taking pictures
in her gallery. That is so nice of her.
I was impressed by the picture of her sitting in front of
the workshop desk with a background of full of paints, brush, and painting
board at my fist spot of this gallery. This is the following picture.

隔壁另一家以木制藝術享譽本省的是peter kiss gallery. peter kiss 以自己家地庫為起家基地﹐不停鋸﹐打磨﹐上油﹐完成一批成品後做了第一次展銷就賣出了四分之三作品。從此他以此為業步向成功。

畫廊外面﹐有咖啡館﹐手工傢俱設計﹐木制品店﹐除咖啡館外都是由藝術家本人經營。
店內往往分成兩邊﹐一邊是工作坊﹐另一邊陳列藝術品。
