What
a sunny Saturday. There is a singing competition for
children under 15 years old in downtown. More than four hundred children
participants and their parents are lining up there for whole day, starting at 5
o'clock in the morning, ending at 5 o’clock in the afternoon. Some of them are
from small towns of British Columbia. They came to Vancouver and slept in a
hotel the night before the competition day.
Most people failed at the end, but they were not
disappointed.
We have tried our best, there is no regret, and by
the way, we have made new friends. That is a wonderful experience that we can
see the reality.

This is the first step, waiting outside for 5 hours.
Cars are moving very slowly since there are some people sitting on the sidewalk. Some drivers stopped and asked: "What are you lining up for?" "A singing competition."

This is the second step, inside the hotel, parents and participants are patiently waiting, eating, drinking and chatting.
